Bedouin Life Camp is lies in a secluded, panoramic location in the Northern part of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. The camp is an ideal basis for jeep tours as well as hiking trips. You will be able to experience the desert far away from the city life and other tourist camps, and have a taste of Bedouin life and culture.

There are private Bedouin tents to sleep in ranging from 2 person to 6 persons. Although the tents are traditionally furnished, you do not have to give up comfort – we have beds and hot shower, and we provide plenty of blankets, bedsheets and towels. People who would like to sleep outside in the summer months, may take their mattresses and blankets and sleep under the stars.

The camp also boasts with a special room that is built under the great sandstone rock that protects the camp. The spacious Rock Room with its comfortable king size bed and many oriental carpets offers special comfort.

The price of the accommodation usually includes a traditional Bedouin barbecue dinner and breakfast.

The facilities are common bathrooms built under the sandstone rocks, with hot showers and European flush toilets. There is a large social tent to spend the evening in, where Bedouin tea is always ready. We gather here to enjoy the dinner and a cosy wood fire, and each other’s company – it is also a great place to meet other interesting people who are staying with us.

NOMAD CAMPING UNDER THE STARS

This option is the best if it is included as part of a longer hiking or camel trip, but of course it is available for a shorter stay too. It is recommended for such people who want to experience the real desert, and adventurous enough to spend the night in the desert far from any human establishments.

We have a couple of different locations in the Wadi Rum Protected Area, which are usually selected depending on the time of year. We load a jeep with all equipment, tent, mats, mattresses, bed sheets, food and water, and take you to a remote place into the desert is far from any camps. Your guide will set up the camp. In the evening he will prepare a Bedouin dinner on fire and you will spend a pleasant evening sitting around the fire. After dinner you will spend the night in a tent or outdoors under the stars, depending on the weather, and of course, your preference.

Please bear in mind that this kind of accommodation naturally does not come with bathroom or a flush toilet, but of course upon returning to the camp, the camp’s facilities will be available.
